Climate & Development Knowledge Network

17/09/2010

CDKNWe're fairly new to public sector projects at Loft, but it's something we're keen to get more involved in. This might sound nuts given the cuts being pushed through right now, but there's a niche for us here: we really do know a thing or two at Loft about delivering ambitious, successful projects on remarkably tight budgets. It's all in the ideas, the strategy and the planning.

So we are very excited indeed to be working with the Climate & Development Knowledge Network, a partnership project involving the Overseas Development Institute, PwC, LEAD International and several other organisations, and funded by the Department for International Development.

We have been creating a smart 'Roster of Experts' web application for the Network, as a first step in building a community of international climate and development experts. The application enables these valuable people around the world to nominate themselves and others they respect for inclusion in the Roster. Upon initial acceptance, nominees can prepare their own detailed expertise profiles for publication. Others will then be able to search the Roster by a range of criteria to find experts matching their interest area.

We very much hope to be doing more work with the Network soon - keep an eye out.
