TER, The National Equipment Register, is the UK’s register of lost and stolen plant machinery. It provides a registration service, and a checking service for those buying such equipment to check that it has not been registered as stolen – a bigger problem than you’d imagine.
We created a bespoke application enabling their customers to do all this online, launching last year, and it has been huge success. This month we have completed two substantial new features to offer an even better services.
We have developed a real-time, interactive, checking service with an online AJAX interface, enabling big players such as auctioneers to check large amounts of equipment as passes through their system.
And we have completed an integration with HPI, so customers can automatically complete their check against both the TER and HPI databases in one go, for additional security.
