We create the technology that has helped Cyclescheme become a FastTrack 100 winner, a Smarta 100 winner, and cycling industry leader.
The challenge
Cyclescheme had a concept to enable independent bike stores to facilitate a growing commuter trend to cycle to work with government funded support. Cyclescheme needed a previously non-existent comprehensive technology system to enable employees to get a bike tax-free, saving on average about half the cost through an easy to administer online service. The service had to tie in with the government’s green travel plan and conform to the requirements of the HMRC, OFT and DfT, providing Hire Agreements for employees and a secure system for Certificate processing.
Our solution
Loft created best-in-class web applications to enable, automate and optimise all aspects of the business. The approach was based on continual rounds of collaborative research, planning, design, development, delivery, testing and optimisation. Each iteration focused on identifying new opportunities, blockers and costs, while coming up with better and faster methods to improve and innovate on critical business functions, processes and customer experiences
Impact
We created the technology that has helped Cyclescheme become a FastTrack 100 winner after getting 500,000 more bikes on the road, with a three-year growth rate of nearly 350% per annum: their technology platforms were key to this. The company also won a Smarta award for “remarkable companies that have gone the extra mile to differentiate themselves from the market and found clever ways to compete”.
