Loft CEO Nick Nettleton is working with the tech startup accelerator Vantage on a new series of workshops tailored for company founders in the digital health space.
The inaugural MedTech Growth Series will take place in London between 18 October and 22 November 2022, offering six workshops including:
- Understanding the MedTech Landscape
- Legal 101 for Startups
- Understanding IP
- PR & Communications Strategy
- All Things Data
- Plus a Showcase Evening
Each has been designed to mentor founders through the challenges they’re likely to encounter when starting and/or growing a new digital health enterprise.
Nick will be heading up the week five workshop – All Things Data – sharing his experience as technology partner to femtech startup Aura Fertility and developing the MyEyeSite technology with UCL and Moorfields Eye Hospital.
“How you collect, store, analyse and protect data is a crucial consideration when you’re developing technology as a medtech or digital health business, and should be part of your strategy early on,” says Nick.
“As we’ve seen with MyEyeSite, the data itself has huge intrinsic value – for example in medical research. However, it is the patients’ personal data and that must always be respected,” says Nick.
He will be talking about these matters and plenty more in his workshop on 15 November.
Other expert presenters include Sophie McGrath of Goodwin Law, Dom Icely of Impact IP and Jessica Smith of SomX – plus you’ll be able to network with a group of like-minded tech entrepreneurs who have a variety of different experiences to share.
